Meet the organizers

Revived by two artists — one born here, one who chose it — Santa Cruz Fringe returns in 2025 with a one-night-only showcase rooted in creative courage, community, and possibility. Inspired by the original 2011–2014 festivals and the spirit of Edinburgh, we’re planting seeds for a future citywide Fringe — or whatever wants to grow. Anything is possible.

  • Allison Steitz

    CO-ORGANIZER

Allison Steitz is a recent transplant to Santa Cruz, drawn by the region’s creative energy and the chance to build something lasting. She moved here to lead Growth & Operations at local fintech company Paystand and serves on the board of Santa Cruz Works. Her background spans startups, venture capital in the U.S. and emerging markets, and artist accelerators—supporting bold ideas and cultural change. Inspired by her experience in Evolve Wellness’s Relational Living / Stop F*cking Around program, Allison launched Santa Cruz Fringe to make more space for risk-taking, aliveness, and transformative live performance in town.
